I am very happy meeting clients using zoom, FaceTime or any other secure media format. Despite not sitting in an office together in a traditional way, clients still connect face to face, and have their voices heard, while sitting in comfort in a place that suits them. This approach is helpful to all, and especially advantageous to my clients with mobility issues, as it cuts out the time, hassle and costs of travelling to and from a location. It also minimises concerns regarding public health issues. This is a popular and easy practice for many of my clients.
This method is also well liked and is less time consuming than traditional face to face sessions. Clients can obtain their therapy sessions while being in their own homes, at work, or in a safe, and private location. Those clients with poor internet connections find that this method an effective way of having a therapy session.
I enjoy leading a closed group therapy as it helps some clients to share and hear from others who are, or have faced similar issues, and gain insight and support from lived experiences. Group members gain tips, advice and strength to take control of negative thinking, feeling and behaviours. Seeing others coping, recovering and living with similar issues can be advantageous. I gently guide members through different stages of the issues they are struggling with, empowering members in taking control of issues that are holding them back from living the best life they aspire to have. I use green therapy to bring healthy coping skills to the forefront.
